Rite of Sending, Sunday, February 18, 2018 — 11 a.m. Mass
There will be reserved seating for you and your sponsor at this mass. Parish has you sign the Book of the Elect, this recognizes you as being formally and fully on your way to being in Full Communion with the Church! We bless you, promise our prayers as well as support and sends you to the Bishop for the Rite of Acceptance/Enrollment. You will need your sponsor to attend, if possible.
After the Rite of Sending there will be a Rite of Acceptance/ Enrollment at the Cathedral of St. Andrew. This is where you are presented to the Bishop and formally recognized as being eligible for Initiation into the Catholic Church at the Easter Vigil. Again you will need your sponsor to attend, if possible. This should be on the same Sunday as the Rite of Sending or during the following week. I will let you know the exact date when I hear from the Office of the Bishop.
