“Baptism is the sacrament of regeneration through water in the word.” (CCC 1213)

Parents are to attend a baptismal preparation session before the sacrament is celebrated.

Sessions are offered on the second Monday of every other month from 6-7:15 pm. (November 2018, January, March, May, July, September, November 2019)

We encourage you to attend a session before your baby is born.

Godparents play a significant role in your child’s life.

  • One godparent must be a practicing Catholic who has received  the Sacraments of Initiation (Baptism, Eucharist and Confirmation) in the Catholic Church and, if married, is validly married according to the norms of the Catholic Church. They will need to obtain a letter of good standing from their local parish.
  • Godparents should participate regularly in Sunday Mass and receive the Holy Eucharist.
  • They should be a witness of faith in Jesus Christ by the way they live in service and love to the people with whom they come in contact daily.
