St. Paul the Apostle Parish is located on the southeast side of Grand Rapids. St. Paul was founded in 1965 and has grown steadily through the years. We are a vibrant parish community of 1200+ families from the greater Grand Rapids area and beyond.
As the community of Saint Paul the Apostle Parish, in union with the Grand Rapids Diocese, we are committed to the Gospel of Jesus Christ which calls us to proclaim our beliefs through love for and service to our community. Strengthened by the sacraments and our celebration of the liturgy together we are dedicated to ministering to the spiritual, educational, and social needs of all. As a caring people, we seek to teach, heal, reconcile, and to grow in the image and likeness of God.
We envision Saint Paul the Apostle Catholic Parish as a gathering of the Faithful constantly striving to follow Jesus and the early church did, “devoting themselves to Christ’s teaching, Fellowship, the Eucharist and prayer.” Acts 2:42.
We encourage members of all ages by providing quality programs in on-going spiritual formation to participate in the faith community, to minister to those in need and to carry by word and action the moral voice of the Catholic Church.
We develop our facilities and enrich our programs toward these ends, utilizing the channels of communication within our parish to build awareness of plans, needs and opportunities.
We desire to take into the community the good news of Christ by living our faith as did St. Paul the Apostle.
